Repair Work Commences on Faulty Section of Lucknow‑Kanpur Expressway

Work on fixing the damaged portion of the Lucknow‑Kanpur Expressway started within hours of the cracks being reported. Engineers deployed emergency crews to seal fissures and address water seepage that had affected roughly one kilometre of the 64‑kilometre corridor. While the majority of the expressway remains operational, traffic has been rerouted onto temporary lanes to avoid the affected area. NHAI reiterated that the contractor will shoulder all repair costs and will be accountable for the highway’s maintenance for the next fifteen years, a commitment that excludes any state financing.
