J&K police have attached property valued at Rs 2 crore belonging to the father of Sajjad Ahmad Sheikh, also known as Sajjad Gul. This includes a three-story residential house situated on 15 marlas of land in the Rose Avenue area of HMT, on the outskirts of Srinagar. Sajjad Gul, the founder of The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of Lashkar-e-Toiba, is implicated as the mastermind behind the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which resulted in the deaths of 25 tourists and a local ponywala. Based in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, Gul has been linked to multiple terror attacks between 2020 and 2024, including targeted killings in Central and South Kashmir, grenade attacks in Central Kashmir in 2023, and the ambush of J&K police personnel. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has designated him as a terrorist and placed a reward of Rs 10 lakh for information related to the Pahalgam attack.
