Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation through his Mann Ki Baat program on Sunday. In the 125th episode of Mann Ki Baat, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of adopting Swadeshi. He urged people to embrace and take pride in Swadeshi products and practices.
Modi mentioned the ongoing Ganesh Utsav celebrations across the country and the upcoming festivals. He stressed the importance of remembering Swadeshi during these festivals, encouraging people to choose gifts, attire, decorations, and lighting made in India.
The Prime Minister’s message centered around making everything Swadeshi in every aspect of life, promoting the sentiment “Say with Pride: This is Swadeshi!” He advocated for the mantra of Vocal for Local, the path of Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-reliant India), and the goal of a Developed India. Modi also highlighted the growing affection for the Ramayana and Indian culture worldwide, citing the recent unveiling of a 51-foot-tall statue of a deity in Mississauga, Canada.
