Following heavy rainfall and thunderstorms, several schools across the Delhi-NCR region and in Punjab have announced closures for September 3rd. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert for Delhi and the surrounding areas, citing the ongoing adverse weather conditions. Cities like Gurugram and Ghaziabad experienced significant flooding on Monday and Tuesday, leading to school closures. While the Delhi government has not mandated a holiday, the situation is being monitored, and further closures are possible. The Punjab government has extended the closure of all schools until September 3rd due to the continuing flood situation. Additionally, exams for Classes 10th and 11th scheduled for September 3rd in Jammu and Kashmir have been postponed due to the weather.
