Shekhawat in Jodhpur: Meeting Public Is a Representative's Duty

Jodhpur, October 26: Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Sunday spoke about the importance of resolving public grievances, saying that meeting people and listening to their problems is the basic duty of every elected representative.

Answering a question on the redressal of public complaints, Shekhawat said he considers it his religious duty as a people's representative to meet everyone. He said anyone who comes to meet him is heard carefully, and his team tries to find a solution to their problem wherever possible.

Shekhawat said he meets people every day to fulfil his responsibilities as a people's representative, and that such meetings are necessary. He said most of a representative's time should be devoted to the public and to finding solutions to their problems.

He emphasised that working on ways to improve the lives of people is the duty of every public representative, and that everyone should commit to it. His remarks highlight a focus on direct public engagement and grassroots problem solving in the constituency.

The minister's comments came alongside his remarks on the ongoing political debate, in which he questioned the opposition's rallies demanding the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner and criticised Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge's remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's late father.
