Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah lauded the AICC All India OBC Advisory Committee meeting, describing it as a ‘highly successful’ event. He praised party MP Rahul Gandhi for his commitment to social justice. Siddaramaiah highlighted the Bengaluru Declaration, which expressed gratitude to Rahul Gandhi for his efforts in ensuring social justice, particularly for backward classes. The declaration credited Gandhi’s determination for compelling the government to conduct a caste census. Siddaramaiah emphasized that this census is a step toward realizing the constitutional goal of social transformation and building an equitable society. He affirmed the commitment to uphold the Congress party’s principles under Gandhi’s leadership and fight for social justice for all. The resolutions also called for a nationwide caste census to be conducted by the Registrar General and Census Commissioner, India (ORGI), using Telangana’s SEEEP Caste Survey as a model.
