A sudden outbreak of smoke was reported in a sleeper coach of the Pushpak Express, en route from Lucknow to Mumbai, leading to initial reports of a fire. The incident occurred near Bhadli station, between Bhusawal and Jalgaon. The situation caused panic and confusion among passengers. Sources suggest that fiber brake liners, instead of the usual iron ones, in the new coaches might be a contributing factor to such incidents.
Technical experts clarified that the situation wasn’t exactly a fire. The train was stopped for approximately 20 to 30 minutes for investigation and extinguishing measures. The train was later allowed to proceed towards Nashik after the situation was brought under control.
