Gitanjali J. Angmo, the wife of environmentalist and educationist Sonam Wangchuk, has approached the Supreme Court challenging her husband’s arrest. Gitanjali is demanding Sonam Wangchuk’s release. The climate activist has been incarcerated in Jodhpur Jail, Rajasthan, since being taken into custody following violent clashes in Ladakh on September 24. According to official records, Angmo filed her petition in the Supreme Court on Thursday, October 2nd.
