SpaceX President and COO Gwynne Shotwell met with Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia to discuss opportunities for collaboration in satellite communications to enhance digital connectivity in India. Shotwell expressed her appreciation for the license granted to Starlink, calling it a ‘great start.’ Starlink is preparing to launch its services in India within two months. The company has finalized its pricing structure, with the satellite dish device costing approximately Rs 33,000 and the monthly unlimited data plan priced at Rs 3,000. Starlink plans to offer a complimentary one-month trial period with each device purchase. This initiative is expected to improve connectivity in remote and underserved areas.
