State Orders Fresh Leadership Changes in Uttar Pradesh Police Departments

In an effort to bolster the effectiveness of law‑enforcement agencies, the Uttar Pradesh government announced the reassignment of eighteen senior IPS officers on Tuesday. The decision impacts a spectrum of critical units, including the Provincial Armed Constabulary, Special Security Force, Armed Tribunal Service, Economic Offences Wing, communication and vigilance divisions.

Dr. Satish Kumar (IPS 2013) has been promoted to commander of the 1st SSF battalion, Lucknow. Sanjeev Suman (IPS 2014) now serves as director of the Uttar Pradesh State Institute of Forensic Sciences. Samir Saurabh (IPS 2016) takes charge of the 27th PAC battalion in Sitapur after moving from the CBCID.

Ashutosh Dwivedi has been transferred to head the regional communications office in Ayodhya, while Anand Kumar II becomes the new chief of CBCID, Lucknow. Sanjay Rai assumes leadership of the Economic Offences Wing in the capital. Shashi Shekhar Singh leaves ATS Lucknow to command the 11th PAC battalion at Sitapur, and Vanshraj Singh Yadav is named commander of the 3rd SSF battalion, Prayagraj.

Other notable appointments include Rajkumar as head of the Vigilance Academy, Mathura; Priyabala Gupta as ATS chief, Lucknow; Kamal Kishore as EOW chief, Lucknow; Devash Kumar Sharma as chief of the Food Procurement Cell; Rahul Mithas as head of Technical Services; Dr. Krishna Gopal moving to the Police Training College, Muradabad; Shoaib Iqbal taking over the Traffic Directorate; and Pavitramohan Tripathi becoming RTC chief in Chunar, Mirzapur. Alok Kumar Sharma remains at the Vigilance Academy, and Mahesh Singh Atri now heads regional communications in Bareilly.
