Students Carry Giant Indian Flag Across Udhampur, Marking 2019 Constitutional Change

Students from Udhampur’s colleges gathered on August 5 to hoist a 200‑metre long Indian tricolour, commemorating the 2019 constitutional reorganisation of Jammu and Kashmir. The rally, which started at Ram Nagar Chowk, moved through the town’s streets before concluding at the original launch point.

Participants highlighted how the removal of Article 370 eliminated the region’s separate constitution and flag, aligning it fully with the Indian Constitution. The massive flag served as a powerful reminder of the nation’s unity and the youth’s commitment to uphold constitutional values.
