BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi has criticized the Congress leadership for its response to a corruption case in Chhattisgarh involving Chaitanya Baghel, son of former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. Speaking at a press conference, Trivedi accused the Congress of defending corruption for political gains. He pointed out the unusual speed with which the party’s top leaders rallied to protect those implicated. Trivedi questioned the Congress’s motivations, highlighting the alleged irregularities in the case. He contrasted this with Rahul Gandhi’s earlier defense of his brother-in-law, framing the Chhattisgarh issue as a blatant political act. The BJP spokesperson also raised suspicions about the extent of the alleged scam, hinting at possible connections extending beyond the Baghel family to Delhi. He further criticized the Congress, citing corruption allegations against its governments in Karnataka and Telangana, and demanding answers from the party.
