The government introduced a supplementary budget aimed at enhancing the remuneration of teachers, examiners and other low‑pay staff. Salary increments were announced, raising teachers’ honorarium from ₹10,000 to ₹18,000 and examiners’ from ₹9,000 to ₹17,000. Additionally, a cash‑less health benefit of up to ₹5 lakh per beneficiary was extended to these groups. Despite the opposition’s refusal to allow debate, the House eventually passed the budget, marking a win for the administration’s welfare agenda.
