In compliance with the Supreme Court’s July 9 2015 directive, the CBI was tasked with investigating 212 criminal matters linked to the Vyapam exam fraud. Those cases covered 33 examinations, ranging from pre‑medical to recruitment tests, and involved more than four thousand named suspects. Yet, nearly twelve years later, the agency has not disclosed how many of those cases have reached conclusion, how many charge‑sheets were submitted, or the number of convictions secured. Former legislator Parsh Saklecha warned that the prolonged inertia undermines public confidence and urged the CBI to issue an exhaustive, publicly accessible bulletin detailing the status of each investigation.
