During Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army, utilizing indigenous weaponry, compelled Pakistan to concede. The Indian 105 mm gun, which roared during Operation Sindoor, will once again make its presence known from the Red Fort. On August 15th, during the 79th Independence Day celebrations, a 21-gun salute will be presented using indigenous Light Field Guns, with preparations underway. For the past three years, these indigenous guns have been used to provide the 21-gun salute during every Independence Day celebration. The indigenous 105 mm Indian Field Gun will fire 21 rounds during the 52 seconds of the national anthem. Previously, the British 25 Pounder Gun was used for the salute during the flag hoisting at the Red Fort. India is now becoming self-reliant in the defense sector, and the roar of indigenous guns will be heard on Independence Day.
