Tiger Shroff Shooting Probe: Pistols Seized in Gujarat
In a major development in the firing case involving actor Tiger Shroff, the Mumbai Crime Branch has seized two pistols that were allegedly used in the attack. According to sources, the weapons were recovered from Surat, and they will be examined at a forensic laboratory.
It has not yet been established whether the pistols were recovered from an unknown place or from a particular person. Sources indicate that the shooters hid the weapons in Surat while escaping after the incident.
The firing occurred on October 18 in Juhu, Mumbai. The actor was driving away from Pushpa Narsi Ground after playing football when assailants on a motorcycle opened fire on his car. Tiger Shroff survived without injury, but his driver Firdaus was hurt by a gunshot. The three suspects fled on the bike and then went to separate destinations by train and cab.
After the incident, Mumbai Police filed a case and began investigating. Early action led to the arrest of three shooters, Rehan, Phool Singh and Rithik Kumar, in Kota, Rajasthan. Subsequently, the probe into weapon suppliers resulted in arrests in Delhi and Sonipat. Ten people have been arrested so far in connection with the case.
Mumbai Crime Branch sources say Lawrence Bishnoi gang associate Randeep Malik allegedly introduced Rehan to Anil Pandit. Another accused, Kunal, is also suspected of getting in touch with Pandit through Malik.
According to the Crime Branch, Kunal reportedly paid two women, Radha and Babita, to take the weapons to Mumbai, offering them a trip around the city as an incentive. After the weapons were delivered, the two women were reportedly seen visiting several places in Mumbai.
