The Chairman of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, will meet with representatives from various sectors today, Wednesday, to ensure the smooth implementation of Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms. The GST Council, the apex body for matters related to Goods and Services Tax (GST), decided in its 56th meeting last week to reduce the existing four-slab structure to two rates. The new rates of change will be implemented from September 22nd. Meanwhile, Mauritian Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam has arrived in India for an 8-day visit. He will arrive in Varanasi from Mumbai today.
