Uttarakhand has reached a significant financial milestone, as confirmed by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India. The state recorded a historic revenue surplus of ₹5,310 crore in the fiscal year 2022–23. This achievement places Uttarakhand among the states that have demonstrated a revenue surplus during this period. The state’s improved financial standing reflects robust financial management. The surplus is a result of prudent financial strategies and transparent policies implemented by the government. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated that this accomplishment is a step toward Uttarakhand’s economic self-reliance and future prosperity, driven by good governance.
