At a felicitation ceremony held in Dehradun, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reiterated his commitment to making Uttarakhand corruption-free. He participated in the event organized by religious and social organizations in Balliwala. During the event, the Chief Minister administered an oath to the attendees, emphasizing the goal of a corruption-free state. Dhami highlighted the public’s support as a key factor in this endeavor. He stated that the ceremony was a celebration of the vision to eliminate corruption in Uttarakhand, and he credited the 1.25 crore people of the state, who are focused on development with honesty, transparency, and accountability. The government has utilized technology extensively to ensure transparency, with measures including online transfers, the CM Helpline 1905 for monitoring the examination system and public grievance redressal, and 1064 for corruption complaints. Strict action has been taken in cases of irregularities in recruitment examinations, corruption in transfer-posting, and commission in schemes. Over 200 individuals involved in corruption have been incarcerated in the past three years, and over 24,000 people have been provided government jobs in the last four years. The government has strengthened the governance system by implementing the Uniform Civil Code, strict anti-copying laws, and actions against land and love jihad, as well as through anti-conversion and anti-riot laws. He also mentioned ‘Operation Kalanemi’ to expose impersonators, with over 200 suspects arrested, including some Bangladeshi infiltrators. Dhami appealed to the public to inform the police about such elements and mentioned his government’s commitment to building a transparent, accountable, and public welfare governance system, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s principle of “Na khaunga, na khane doonga”.
