The tragic collapse of the Gambhira bridge in Vadodara, Gujarat, has resulted in a death toll of 13, with rescue teams recovering two more bodies. The bridge, which connected Anand and Vadodara via Padra, collapsed on Wednesday, sending vehicles into the Mahisagar River. The incident involved several vehicles, including trucks, vans, and an auto-rickshaw. Rescue and relief operations are ongoing for a second day. The Gujarat Chief Minister announced compensation for the families of the deceased and injured, while the Prime Minister also announced aid from the PMNRF. A 10-15 meter section of the bridge collapsed, according to Vadodara SP Rohan Anand, leading to the accident.
