Continuous heavy rainfall in Vadodara, Gujarat, for the past three days has led to significant flooding, isolating residents in the Vadsar area. The Vishwamitri River’s water level rose, inundating the main road leading to several residential areas, including Koteshwar, Kansa Residency, and Samridhi Residency. Despite the Municipal Commissioner’s request to evacuate, many residents chose to remain in their homes. Municipal authorities are providing relief materials, including food and water, to the stranded individuals. The situation is being closely monitored, and the administration remains on high alert. Meanwhile, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) rescued nine people stranded in the flooded Sabarmati River near Danta in Banaskantha district.
