In an effort to speed up grievance redressal, the West Bengal BJP has ordered its ministers to hold weekly sit‑downs with party legislators even outside the assembly calendar. Legislators will be required to submit their complaints, suggestions, and local issues in writing to the respective ministers. The initiative seeks swift resolution of public grievances and better implementation of welfare schemes at the grassroots level.
Since taking office in May, Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has repeatedly highlighted the need for tight coordination between ministers and legislators to streamline governance and service delivery.
