Why India's Fuel Prices Rose Less Than Neighbors: BJP Explains

As petrol and diesel prices climb, BJP and NDA leaders are defending the government's strategy against widespread criticism. In a global scenario marked by wars and supply disruptions, India has managed the lightest touch on consumers, according to party stalwarts. Rajya Sabha MP Gulam Ali Khatana pointed to stark contrasts with neighbors. 'Price jumps of 25-40% elsewhere pale against our controlled rise, all thanks to PM Modi's astute handling and cabinet oversight,' he told reporters. The leader praised the energy sector's proactive monitoring to ease public strain. Since 2014, India's diplomatic prowess has drawn massive investments, solidifying its rise toward economic superpower status. Medha Kulkarni supported Modi's innovative appeals, including remote work to save fuel amid universal challenges. 'This isn't India's alone; global solidarity is key,' she said. From Bihar, Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Choudhary cited unavoidable hikes driven by worldwide oil surges from regional wars. Spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain reinforced that conflicts in key areas have jacked up global rates, yet India limited it to a mere Rs 3 per liter, showcasing commitment to the common man.
