YSRCP Leader Subba Reddy Accused of Using Tractor to Wreck 'Palle Panduga' Road
Village residents of Anantasamudram and Papakkagaripale in Tirupati district raised an alarm on Monday after discovering that a newly constructed road, part of the "Palle Panduga 3.0" scheme, had been ripped up. According to the FIR lodged by the police, Subba Reddy, a local YSR Congress Party figure, together with Venkatesh Subba Reddy, operated a tractor to dismantle a 100‑metre stretch of the road. The road, completed at a cost of 4.75 crore rupees, was part of the state’s third phase of rural development projects aimed at improving connectivity for remote villages. Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan ordered senior engineering officers to compile evidence and forward the matter to the magistrate for a non‑bailable trial. He also instructed the Revenue Department to invoke the Revenue Recovery Act, ensuring that the accused pay compensation for the damage caused to public assets.
