iPhone SE 2 renders show it may look like iPhone 8, launch possible in 2020
This is the year, the year 2020, when we may see the iPhone SE 2. We have heard rumours of this phone again and again and now we are starting to see some of the leaked renders of the iPhone SE 2. From the renders it seems that Apple is preparing a device that will look similar to the iPhone 8, will likely have a similar-sized screen — 4.7-inch — but will come packed with more recent hardware and cameras.
The renders have been shared by SlashLeaks on its website as well as on Twitter. The renders show that the iPhone SE 2 will have a single camera in a ring-shaped module on rear. It is possible that this is the same main 12-megapixel camera that is inside the iPhone 11 series phones. It also makes sense from the product lineup point as it will mean that consumers will get three rear cameras with the iPhone 11 Pro, two rear cameras with the iPhone 11 and one rear camera with the iPhone SE 2.
The renders show that on the front, the iPhone SE 2 will sport a physical home button, similar to what we saw on the iPhone until Series 8. And it will have a screen with rather thick top and bottom bezels, yet again similar to the older iPhones.
In other words, with the iPhone SE 2, Apple may have the same idea it had with original iPhone SE: target consumers who don’t like too many changes in the iPhone. At a time when the company changed the design of the iPhone with the iPhone 6 series, the company brought to the market the iPhone SE that utilised the older design but using new hardware for consumers who wanted their iPhones small and similar to what they were used to with the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 5.
