The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is set to organize a two-day professional conference in Dibrugarh starting May 23. Organized under the Eastern India Regional Council in collaboration with local branches, the event will take place at the picturesque Tea Resort. With the theme 'Saptasetu: Connecting the Seven Sisters through CA Excellence,' the conference emphasizes both professional excellence and regional cohesion among the northeastern states. Over 300 delegates including chartered accountants, industry experts, educators, and government officials are expected to participate. Key sessions will address critical issues such as automation in CA practice, artificial intelligence applications, GST simulation and court experiences, and incentives under Udyam 2024 and AIIPA 2019 schemes. The inaugural function will feature Dibrugarh Deputy Commissioner Vikram Kairi as the chief guest. The second day will include a special felicitation ceremony honoring Jyotirmay Bhattacharya of Oil India Limited. The event is designed to encourage dialogue, skill enhancement, and strategic thinking among finance professionals in the region.
