Last year, the farmer had committed suicide due to debt by hanging him in Balsamand village of Bemetara district of Chhattisgarh state. To recover the same person’s debt, the bank has now issued notice to its families.
The farmer, Ram Avtar Sahu, who committed suicide, took the loan from the State Bank of India of Bemetara branch. The State Bank of Bemetra branch has recently issued notice of payment of Rs 3 lakh 46100 to the family members of the farmer. The bank says that after the death, the responsibility of repaying the debt of the deceased is done to his family members. Families will have to pay interest on interest. It is said that even after death, there is no freedom from debt. Here it seems to be true.
