The 2025 US Open, hosted at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York, is poised to become the richest tennis tournament in history. The total prize money for the event will reach $90 million (INR 785 crore), marking a 20% increase from the previous year’s $75 million. This substantial sum surpasses the prize money offered at other major Grand Slam tournaments, including Wimbledon, the Australian Open, and the French Open. Singles champions, both male and female, are set to receive a record-breaking $5 million each. For comparison, the previous year’s singles winners, Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka, each earned $3.6 million (INR 31.39 crore). Doubles winners will also benefit, with each pair taking home $1 million (INR 8.72 crore). The prize money distribution across different rounds is as follows: First Round – $110,000; Second Round – $154,000; Third Round – $237,000; Round of 16 – $400,000; Quarterfinals – $660,000; Semifinals – $1,260,000; Runner-up – $2,500,000; and Champion – $5,000,000. The 2025 US Open promises to be a highly competitive event, drawing the world’s top players to compete for both prestige and substantial financial rewards.
