42 Cricketers Named Winners at Annual Sri Lanka Cricket Ceremony

On August 5, Colombo will host the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Awards 2025, celebrating 42 cricketers who excelled in both international fixtures and the domestic calendar. The night’s marquee awards are the Men’s and Women’s Cricketer of the Year, complemented by honours for best batter, bowler, all‑rounder and the most promising new talent in each format.

The domestic segment will spotlight the First‑Class competition, awarding the season’s leading run‑scorers, wicket‑takers, all‑rounders and the Most Valuable Player. Champion teams from the Major Club three‑day, 50‑over men’s and women’s, and T20 events will also be recognized.

Four Lifetime Achievement Awards will be handed to two legendary players and two eminent media figures for their enduring contributions to Sri Lankan cricket. An Umpire of the Year award will salute the match officials whose expertise ensured a smooth season. The ceremony arrives as the Lanka Premier League captures fans’ attention and the Indian Test side begins its tour of Sri Lanka.
