500 athletes from 24 railway teams compete in Kolkata event

Approximately five hundred athletes from twenty‑four railway, production‑unit and Railway Protection Force teams are taking part in the 91st All India Railway Athletics Championship in Kolkata. The competition, overseen by the Sports Promotion Board and run by the Eastern Railway Sports Association, includes both men’s and women’s events across track and field disciplines. General Manager Geetika Pandey emphasized that participation with the right sporting spirit matters more than winning, and praised ERSA’s effort in delivering a national‑level meet.
