Anti-corruption tribunal finds Akhilesh Reddy guilty of match-fixing offences

A three‑member anti‑corruption tribunal has concluded that US bowler Akhilesh Reddy breached three key rules of the ICC Anti‑Corruption Code, resulting in an eight‑year worldwide ban. The panel, chaired by Michael J. Bellof‑Kelsey, cited Reddy’s attempt to manipulate the outcome of matches in the 2025 Abu Dhabi T10 competition, his inducement of another player to do the same, and his deliberate deletion of mobile data that could have aided the investigation.

The tribunal’s findings were based on evidence of a meeting in a hotel room on the morning of 19 November 2025, just before the opening game of the Espin Stalians. Reddy’s actions contravene Article 2.1.1 (fixing or attempting to fix match results), Article 2.1.4 (inducing others to fix), and Article 2.4.7 (obstructing investigations by deleting data).

Reddy, who debuted for the United States in the North America T20 Cup against the Cayman Islands and has taken one wicket in four T20 Internationals, will now be excluded from all cricket activities until 2033.
