Magnus Carlsen won the Norway Chess tournament for the seventh time, followed by Fabiano Caruana. D Gukesh secured third place, with Hikaru Nakamura and Arjun Erigaisi following.
In a notable change, Arjun Erigaisi has overtaken D Gukesh in the FIDE Rankings, now holding the third position globally with an Elo rating of 2782, while D Gukesh is fifth with a rating of 2776. Erigaisi’s live rating dipped slightly post-tournament but remained ahead of Gukesh, marking a new milestone for Erigaisi’s consistency and progress.
