India clinched their ninth Asia Cup title on September 28th, triumphing over Pakistan in a thrilling match that concluded with a 5-wicket victory. Abhishek Sharma was named Player of the Tournament, having amassed 314 runs across seven innings. In recognition of his outstanding performance, Sharma received a Haval H9 SUV.
India’s dominance in the tournament was evident throughout, as they remained undefeated, securing nine wins, including the final match. Tilak Varma’s contribution of 69 runs proved crucial in the chase, while Rinku Singh sealed the victory with a final-over boundary.
The Haval H9, a product of Great Wall Motors (GWM), a Chinese automaker, is a globally recognized SUV model. It is powered by a 2.0L turbo petrol engine, generating approximately 214 hp and 380 Nm of torque. The vehicle is equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission, offering a top speed of around 200 km/h and fuel efficiency estimated between 9-12 km/l.
Safety features of the H9 include Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) such as Traffic Sign Recognition, Rear Collision Warning, and Automatic Emergency Braking. The interior boasts a 14.6-inch touchscreen, a 10-speaker audio system, a panoramic sunroof, and wireless charging. Haval plans to launch the H9 in India, with an estimated price of Rs 40 lakh, positioning it as a premium, off-road-capable SUV. Currently, the vehicle is not available for purchase in India.
