A surprising development has emerged in the ongoing controversy surrounding the lack of a handshake between India and Pakistan during the Asia Cup 2025. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has demanded strict action following the incident where the Indian team, including batters Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube, proceeded directly to the changing room without offering handshakes after the match. The Pakistan captain, Salman Ali Agha, and his team were left waiting near the Indian area. Furthermore, the captains did not shake hands during the coin toss. The PCB has called for the immediate removal of Andy Pycroft, alleging his involvement in the incident during the match. The PCB has also lodged a formal complaint with the ICC and threatened to withdraw from the Asia Cup 2025.
