The Boxing Federation of India has released a detailed four‑stage selection policy that connects performance at the 2026 Asian Games with Olympic qualification for Los Angeles 2028. The framework, built on World Boxing’s guidelines, outlines how medalists, national champions, and wildcard entrants will progress through the qualification ladder.

Stage one grants direct entry to the 2027 World Boxing Championship for all Asian Games medalists. Stage two reserves slots for gold medalists from the 10th Elite National Championship. Stage three offers a safety net: boxers who fall short of a world‑championship quota but reach the quota‑bought round will receive direct placement in the Asian qualifier. Finally, stage four fills any remaining positions through ranking trials among elite national camp athletes.
