The victory was largely due to the outstanding performance of their captain, Kunal Chandela, who was the leading batsman throughout the tournament. Chandela was not only the most successful batsman on his team but also in the entire league, and his success as an opener significantly contributed to his team’s championship win.
Kunal Chandela was the highest run-scorer in the UPLT20 league 2025, amassing 455 runs. He achieved this feat in 7 matches with the help of 22 sixes. He was the only player in UPLT20 2025 to surpass the 450-run mark, achieving this with two centuries and two half-centuries. Chandela maintained a strike rate of 177 throughout the league. His exceptional performance earned him the Player of the Tournament award.
In the final, Nainital Tigers scored 148 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. In response, Haridwar Elmas reached the target of 149 runs with 4 balls to spare, losing 6 wickets.
