Central Minister Promises Funding for Sports and Healthcare Infrastructure in Kota

During the August 5 meeting, Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya reiterated the Centre’s readiness to finance critical upgrades in Kota’s sports and health sectors. He outlined a multi‑crore package that will fund the construction of two new athletics tracks at the Kota stadium and the procurement of advanced diagnostic equipment for the Employees State Insurance (ESI) hospital.

The minister highlighted that the health infrastructure upgrade is essential for athletes who require immediate medical support during training and competitions. He directed that the hospital be equipped with modern imaging machines and that vacant positions be filled promptly to ensure round‑the‑clock service.

Mandaviya also promised to fast‑track approval processes for sporting equipment, coaching staff, and venue certification required for hosting international events. He stressed that the allocation will be released in phased installments, contingent on the completion of each development stage.

Birla thanked the minister for the commitment and urged continuous monitoring to avoid delays. Both officials agreed that a transparent reporting mechanism will be established to track expenditure and project outcomes.
