A former county cricket coach has been suspended from cricket for nine months following allegations of sexual misconduct. The International Cricket Discipline Panel (ICDP) handed down the punishment after the coach admitted to five breaches of professional conduct rules, encompassing incidents from 2023 and 2024. These included sending explicit photos to two junior female colleagues and attempting to kiss a woman in a club changing room. The ICDP chose not to publicly disclose the coach’s name due to ‘special circumstances’ related to his health and the risk of ‘serious harm’ if identified. The coach had already been dismissed from his job due to his behavior and is no longer involved in cricket. Six months of the suspension will be applied retroactively, with the remaining three months suspended for 12 months.
