Commonwealth Games 2026 success fuels hopes for Ahmedabad 2030, says PT Usha

Speaking to the media in Glasgow, PT Usha highlighted that the recent medal tally is more than a statistical win – it is a statement of India's rising sporting prowess. She linked the achievements to a robust support system involving government backing, foreign coaches, physiotherapy and exposure trips.

“The government now provides everything an athlete needs – from world‑class coaching to medical care. This athlete‑centric approach is why we are seeing world‑class performances,” Usha said. She called for this collaborative model to be replicated and expanded ahead of the 2030 Commonwealth Games, which India will host in Ahmedabad.
