Commonwealth chess growth driven by ChessVeda’s integrated platform

The Commonwealth Chess Association has partnered with ChessVeda, an all‑in‑one online chess ecosystem, to accelerate the development of the game throughout Commonwealth nations. The memorandum of understanding was signed in Samarkand on 23 September, amidst the backdrop of the Samarkand 2026 Chess Olympiad.

ChessVeda’s suite combines live play, instructional content, coaching services, tournament hosting and community news on a single portal. By aligning this technology with CCA’s regional network, the collaboration aims to deliver more frequent and varied competitive opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels.

According to ChessVeda Chairman Advocate Nandan Jha, the partnership will enable the organization to host global online championships, thereby showcasing Indian talent on an international stage while offering Commonwealth players a chance to test themselves against world‑class opposition.

CCA Chairman Bharat Singh Chauhan expressed confidence that the joint effort will enrich the Commonwealth chess ecosystem, making it easier for federations to organise events and for participants to engage with the sport.

The initiative also supports the Commonwealth Chess Championship, a recurring event that brings together top players from member nations, by providing a robust digital infrastructure for seamless competition.
