India clinched the Asia Cup 2025 title, triumphing over Pakistan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 28. This victory marked India’s third win against Pakistan in the same tournament. However, the celebration was overshadowed by a controversial incident involving ACC chairman Mohsin Naqvi, who allegedly took the trophy. He then posted a comment on social media. Naqvi responded to a tweet by India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating: “If war was your measure of pride, history already records your humiliating defeats at Pakistan’s hands. No cricket match can rewrite that truth. Dragging war into sport only exposes desperation and disgraces the very spirit of the game.”
