Boxing Brilliance Drives India to Fourth Spot at CWG 2026

The Commonwealth Games’ 10th day witnessed Indian boxers dominate the ring, clinching ten medals including seven golds. Men’s champions Ankush Panchal and Sachin Sivach topped the podium, while women’s fighters Jasmine Lamberia, Sakshi Choudhary, Priya Ghanghas, Arundhati Choudhary and Preeti earned golds. Silver went to Jadu Mani Singh, Lavlina Borgohen and Narendra Berwal. In athletics, Praveen Chitravel took silver in triple jump and Selva Prabhu Thiruman won bronze. Shot put saw Soman Rana win gold and Shubham Juyal silver. The cumulative haul lifted India to 13 gold, 17 silver and 9 bronze medals, moving the nation to fourth place overall.
