Defense Minister Highlights Nationwide ‘Play India’ Sessions and Medal Aspirations

After the virtual dialogue, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh visited the Indian Institute of Management in Ranchi, where the “Play India Dialogue” was also held. He reported that the program was conducted in more than 5,000 locations across the country, with direct interaction between the Prime Minister and sports leaders at 1,500 venues. Singh stressed that India aims to win medals at the Olympics, Asian Games and Commonwealth Games, and that without promoting sports and athletes, such goals cannot be achieved. He praised Modi’s constant encouragement of athletes, noting that whenever a sportsperson returns from representing the nation, the Prime Minister personally reaches out to motivate them.
