England’s women’s cricket team faces a significant setback as captain Nat Sciver-Brunt will miss the remaining T20I series against India due to a groin injury sustained during the third T20I in Bristol. The all-rounder was forced to leave the field mid-match. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed that Sciver-Brunt strained her left groin and will be unavailable for the five-match T20I series. Veteran batter Tammy Beaumont will take over captaincy duties, and Maia Bouchier has been added to the squad as a replacement. Sciver-Brunt is expected to recover in time for the upcoming ODI series, which begins on July 16th. India currently leads the series 2-1.
