Experienced RB Leipzig Goalkeeper Gulacsi Moves to La Liga

Villarreal CF confirmed the signing of Peter Gulacsi, the veteran Hungarian keeper who spent nine seasons with RB Leipzig after joining from Red Bull Salzburg in 2015. The deal, worth around $1.2 million, runs for two years. Gulacsi’s résumé includes 58 caps for Hungary and more than 70 matches in UEFA club competitions. He arrives at a time when Villarreal has reshaped its squad, losing Arnau Tenas and adding Diego Conde. The goalkeeper will challenge Luis Junior for the starting role ahead of the club’s Champions League return.
