The F1 movie has achieved significant success since its theatrical debut on June 27, amassing approximately INR 4,800 crore globally and nearing the INR 5,000 crore milestone. Due to its popularity, the film was re-released in early August, maintaining its strong box office performance.
Directed by Joseph Kosinski of Top Gun: Maverick fame, the movie stars Brad Pitt as Sonny Hayes, a retired Formula 1 driver who returns to the sport after his career was cut short by a crash in the 1990s. Hayes is determined to revitalize a struggling F1 team. The cast also includes Damson Idris, Javier Bardem, Kerry Condon, and Tobias Menzies, with Lewis Hamilton and Jerry Bruckheimer as producers.
For those seeking to watch the movie online, the wait will be short. The F1 film will be available for rental on Amazon Prime Video starting August 22. Subsequently, it is expected to stream on Apple TV+, likely between late September and early October, although no official streaming release date has been confirmed.
Despite the upcoming OTT release, the F1 movie is still showing in select premium theaters. In Mumbai, screenings are available at locations like PVR ICON Goregaon, Phoenix Palladium, Metro INOX, and Infiniti Andheri. In Delhi-NCR, viewers can watch the film at Cinepolis Saket, PVR Noida, and Director’s Cut, Ambience Mall, in formats like Onyx and Dolby.
