German striker hopes Barcelona success triggers national team return

Karim Adeyemi, now wearing the Barcelona jersey, is looking ahead to a season that could revive his Germany career. The forward, who played under Hans‑Flick during the 2022 World Cup, said the coach’s presence at the Spanish club is a key factor in his decision to join.

Adeyemi’s 11 appearances for Germany have not translated into a spot for the upcoming World Cup, prompting him to focus on club form. He told reporters that “if I perform well for Barcelona, the national coach will notice and I will have a chance to return.”
