Group A Standings Tighten as India Defeats South Korea

In Group A of the Asian Games 2026, India’s men’s kabaddi team delivered a decisive 63-31 victory over South Korea, tightening its grip on the top spot. The Indian side, under Sunil Kumar’s captaincy, dominated the raid and defence phases, posting 38 raid points against Korea’s 23 and executing multiple successful tackles.

The first half ended with a 34-14 lead for India, highlighted by 23 raid points, seven bonus points, and two all‑outs forced on the Korean side. Korea managed only ten touch points before the break.

The second half continued the Indian onslaught, adding 29 points and a third all‑out, while raising its bonus tally to 17. Korea’s 17 points were not enough to challenge the lead. With this win, India remains unbeaten in the group, having previously routed Japan, and looks ahead to a September 23 encounter with Bangladesh in pursuit of its ninth Asian Games gold medal.
