Glasgow’s July chill and strong cross‑winds turned the Commonwealth Games javelin qualifiers into a battle of skill and adaptation. Neeraj Chopra managed a 79.61‑metre throw, securing his spot in the final and joining Rohit Yadav (78.37 m) and Yashveer Singh (78.36 m) as India’s representatives.

Chopra noted that the conditions prevented any athlete from hitting the automatic qualifying distance, highlighting the resilience required to perform.
