According to reports, Rana will not be returning to India with the rest of the India A squad and will stay with the main squad. The decision to keep Rana back could be due to a need for backup options, similar to the 2020-21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy when injuries led to the call-up of backup bowlers, ultimately helping India win the series.
